Sanctuary of the Deep

The whale has always embodied sacred vastness and wisdom to me. In this painting, I placed the creature within a hand-drawn golden circle — a halo, a compass, a quiet reverence for the depth it carries.

The abstract ocean was created in multiple wet-on-wet layers, allowing the pigments to move like currents. I hope this painting evokes a sense of stillness, presence, and awe before the great unknown.
